I'm as sick as a pig!

I developed fever and flu overnight! OVERNIGHT!! Can you believe that! So next morning (Thursday), I was really sick and couldn't work because my voice is so yucky and I have to sniff/cough every few seconds. So I dragged myself all the way to the polyclinic. I almost died there. When registering, the receptionist asked me if I was still studying. I told her that I was working so I needed an MC. And guess what?!!!

SHE TOLD ME THAT NOW THAT I'M WORKING, I WOULD HAVE TO PAY AS AN ADULT AND I WOULDN'T GET ANY CHILD / SENIOR CITIZEN BENEFITS!!! (which is actually just a $2 subsidary or something like that)

This might not be much, but I was so shocked. I repeatedly told her that I was waiting for my O Level results and would continue education but she totally ignored me.

Anyway, the doctor was really really uncaring towards my illness. He was totally robotic and stoic and didn't care about the patients. I told him that I had a mild fever the night before and he checked my temperature and said that I didn't have any fever! What?! He only gave me those small yellow pills for flu, some yucky orange flavoured lozenges and even yuckier cough syrup, the ones that somehow people are addicted to (YUCKS).

Anyway, had to go to the lobby and settle my bill and the most funniest thing happened. The receptionist flashed my Q-number and called out my name (Abdul Hakim). And immediately, 3 Abdul Hakims came to the receptionist! Hahaha! The other two were paiseh because they didn't see the number.
